COSA elects Dr David Chan as the New chair of the NETs group

Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) announced on Friday, 10th May that Sydney Vital member, Dr David Chan had been elected as the new chair of the Neuroendocrine Tumours (NETs) group.

Dr David Chan is a medical oncologist with a particular interest in NETs based at the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) and North Shore Private Hospital. He is Sydney Vital’s Flagship 2: NETs research fellow and has always been an active member. He was the inaugural NET Fellow at RNSH then undertook a neuroendocrine tumour fellowship at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto. He is currently finishing a PhD on the use of dual PET imaging in NETs. He has authored 25 publications in NETs and was invited as a plenary speaker for ENETS (European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society) in March 2019 and he is also an active member of COSA, ASCO, ENETS and CommNETs.

Sydney Vital would like to congratulate Dr Chan on the appointment and is looking forward to more progress and outcomes in NETs by Dr Chan at COSA.
